of sociology at UMass: Boston and author of "The Ex-Prisoner's
Dilemma: How Women Negotiate Competing Narratives of Re-entry and
Desistance," as she leads a conversation with two formerly
incarcerated women, Lorraine and Ivy, and Lorraine's mother, Eileen,
as they share with us how they navigated re-entering society after
incarceration. Through them we will come to understand how important
it is to cherish the seemingly small victories accrued during this
difficult process: reconnecting with family, finding a voice,
expressing gratitude, healing from trauma, among others.
